In 2009, Charles Laird, Jr. launched 4Houses Realty out of a second bedroom in Pontiac. No franchise. No outside backing. Just a license, a laptop, and a conviction that Oakland County deserved a real estate team built entirely around it. Eleven years later, the business had grown enough to move into its first commercial office in Bloomfield Hills. A year after that, the team outgrew that too — and in 2021, 4Houses Realty moved into its current home in Birmingham, Michigan. The address changed three times. The standard never did.
